The fourth generation of the original Benz wood-bodied cartridge, the Ref S uses the MicroRidge stylus and generator developed for the Ebony L (0.26mV at 3.54cm / sec, 5 ohm coil impedance).
It is ideal with high gain (> 60 dB) phono stage with input impedance below 300 ohms or when using step-up transformers.
